Now residing in Charlottetown with his wife Mary, Gerard Mitchell continues to contribute to the legal discourse. His forthcoming book slated for release in January 2025 delves into the evolution of the Supreme Court of Canada jurisprudence  surrounding courts’ authority to exclude evidence under section 24 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. This work promises to be a valuable resource for Judges, Lawyers, law students, police, and anyone interested in Canadian Constitutional law.
